Hello from beautiful Missoula and the spectacular mountains of western Montana and welcome to Treasures of the Northwest, the 31st annual Hellgate Mineral Society Gem and Mineral Show, and the 2026 Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies Convention.

The show is open to the general public from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday and 10:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday. The daily admission is $5.00 per person, with children under 12 free when accompanied by a paying adult. The show will be offering exhibitions on wire wrapping, flint knapping, silver smithing, gold panning, and fossil prepping. Fun activities include raffles for rock-hounding paraphernalia, hourly door prizes of vendor-donated gems and minerals, the sale of grab bags of rock and mineral specimens, a silent auction, and a Spin-to-Win. There are also activities specifically for the younger crowd that include a mineral dig, geode cracking and a kids-only silent auction.

New this year, and due to our location and the early time of year, we are offering the opportunity participate in “onsite field trips” where you can sift for sapphires, sift for garnets, sift for sunstones, and pan for gold.

The show is hosting as many as 22 vendors selling a wide range of rock and mineral specimens, polished and unpolished, as well as jewlery and a wide variety of display pieces and other curiosities. There are also three club tables with Hellgate Mineral Society members displaying and selling their specimens and creations.
